Lisa Miller-Way is a Director with CHM Fire Consultants Ltd. with 20 years of experience in fire protection engineering, Building and Fire Code consulting, and Accessibility. Regularly engaged by engineers, architects, interior designers, and developers, her experience spans all sectors inclusive of complex buildings, hospitals/healthcare, industrial, commercial and residential facilities.

Lisa is routinely involved in highly complex projects, which often require the development of Alternative Solutions to address design challenges, showcasing her ability to adapt her knowledge to different project requirements. Lisa frequently engages the engineering and design community through various lectures and public speaking events.

Lisa is a Certified Engineering Technologist with OACETT and a Licensed Engineering Technologist with PEO (Lisa received the first LET issued in Ontario; the LET authorizes Lisa to perform professional engineering work in her field).

Tess Espejo has over 20 years of experience in the development and implementation of standards,

codes, regulation, certification and testing programs.

While with ULC Standards, managed Technical Committees such as Fire Alarm and Life

Safety, Security and Intrusion Alarm, Tanks and Fittings for Flammable and Combustible

Liquids, Cannabis, etc.

Developed certification and training programs including Integrated Systems Testing of Fire

Protection and Life Safety Systems (1001), Safety, Security and Sustainability of Cannabis

Facilities and Operations, and Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement

Systems (ERCES).

Since 2006, Voting Member with various Standing Committees under the Canadian Board for

Harmonized Construction Codes (CBHCC), (SCHMA and SCFP) and current Chair, Task Group on Hazardous Processes and Member, National Model Code Committee on Fire and Life Safety (NMCC-FLS). 

Chair, Technical Experts Committee (TEC) on Alternative Compliance Model for Construction Projects, Saskatchewan and Project Leader, 2022 ISO International Workshop

Agreements on safety, security and sustainability of cannabis facilities and operations (ISO/IWA 37-1 through 3).

Sandy A. Leva is a graduate of Seneca College’s Fire Protection Engineering program. She joined UL Solutions (ULC) on May 15, 1990, as a Laboratory Technician.

Sandy is proud to celebrate 36 years with UL Solutions, building a long and rewarding career in the Life Safety and Building Materials industries.

Sandy brings extensive experience in fire and safety testing and certification across a wide range of standards. Her focus is on driving strong business results for UL Solutions while delivering meaningful value to her clients and the industry.

After over a decade working in various marketing positions, with a family history in the industry, Cindy launched Building Reports Canada.  A Canadian company that proves efficiency and greater compliance can go hand-in-hand.  While continuing to manage this company, she started Rebel Equipped which links test equipment with technicians.  Most recently she partnered with Derek Collins, retired from Toronto Fire Services, to start Compliance Education Group.  A companycreated to provide building owners and managers on demand, quick, easy access to fire and life safety education online.  Her dedication to the industry is shown in her commitment to standards committees, education, and sponsorship to help inform, attract, and keep individuals in the industry.

Amy Zourzouklis is an accomplished sales professional with a strong record of building trusted client relationships and delivering tailored solutions. She is known for her commitment to service excellence, taking ownership of challenges, and consistently bringing forward practical, results‑driven recommendations. With experience across multiple industries, Amy leverages strong analytical and organizational skills to support clients effectively. She is also an active contributor to her community through ongoing involvement in local charitable initiatives. 

Allena Goodyear is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS–NFPA) and a UL Certified Integrated Testing Coordinator (ITC) with more than 18 years of experience in fire protection, fire code compliance, and life safety consulting. 

Allena specializes in CAN/ULC-1001 Integrated Systems Testing, fire code consulting, fire safety plans, special event planning, and  alternative measures procedures. She is regularly engaged to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on fire safety plan implementation, fire code compliance, and supervisory staff training for building owners, property managers, and facility operators. 

Her project portfolio spans a diverse range of occupancies and facility types with extensive experience in assembly occupancies, theatres, arenas, stadiums, courtrooms, care, treatment and detention facilities, and multi-tower, mixed use complexes. 

Allena is a passionate and active contributor within the fire protection industry, serving on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Fire Safety Association (CFSA) and as a Member of Council with the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) – Canada Branch.
