Canadian Fire Engineering Summit
Tuesday November 3, 2026
Location: Hazelton Manor
99 Peelar Rd, Vaughan, ON L4K 1A3
The 2026 Canadian Fire Engineering Summit is expected to attract all major stakeholders in the fire protection industry in Canada and will be one of the largest events of its kind. Last year’s event was a full house with overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees. Created and organized by the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA), Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), Canada Branch, and Society of Fire Protection Engineers, Southern Ontario Chapter (SFPE-SOC) collaboratively, it is an event not to be missed in Canada.
Membership in these 3 organizations covers the entire fire protection industry spectrum, including Fire Chiefs and Fire Prevention Officers, Fire Protection Engineers/Architects, insurance companies, system manufacturers, national testing agencies (ULC, CSA, ETL, FM, etc.), Commercial Property Owners and Managers, and Fire Protection Contractors. It is expected to be well-attended, all from this important and niche sector.
This whole-day in-person (or live online) event will consist of keynote speakers and panels on timely topics related to fire engineering in Canada. There will also be exhibit booths at the Summit, providing excellent opportunities for manufacturers, contractors and consultants to showcase their products and services. The dinner reception is a chance to mingle with the speakers, panelist and organizers over a delicious meal and drink. This is a rare opportunity to network with all industry peers in attendance.

Camp Molly is a free, 4-day camp dedicated to inspiring young female and non-binary youth aged 15 to 18 by showcasing firefighting as a viable and rewarding career. Honoring Molly Williams, North America’s first known female and first known black firefighter, the program was launched in 2019 in the Halton Region with substantial support from charities and businesses. Its success has led to expansion across Canada, including Quebec, Saskatchewan, and two Indigenous camps in 2024. The program offers comprehensive training in fire suppression, auto extrication, firefighter survival, and more. With around 35 campers per session, over 400 youths will benefit each year, each concluding with a ceremonial graduation.
